Myttin da!

Not only is today St Piran’s Day, celebrating the patron saint of Cornwall, but it is also the final day of home learning.

I look forward to seeing you this morning for our final Teams meeting and am looking forward to us all being able to see each other face to face again on Monday as we return to school. Look out for a letter today from Ms Brown with reminders about the systems we have in place for staggered starts and pick ups etc.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday morning!

Mr Simmons’ Joke of the Day

Maths

We had a look at one of these sessions last half term. Today, rather than start a new topic, I thought we would look back over some previous learning with a Beat the Nation video.

Watch the video, try to answer the questions then see if you can work out which was the question that was answered incorrectly by the most people, what answer you think they chose and how you would teach them. Then watch the rest of the video to find out the answers.

Science

Today you have 2 challenges which both use the equipment from your envelope from Mrs Cairns.

The information for each of these challenges can be found below:

Rocket Challenge

Curly Wurly Challenge

Reading

I would like you to read for at least 30 minutes each day. You can get more ideas and suggestions of reading material from the Reading@Home section above.

Catch Up Session

As we finish our period of home schooling, use this afternoon to finish off any activities from the last few weeks. You may be putting the finishing touches to your Rube Goldberg machine video or it could be finalising some artwork or finishing off the Science experiments from this morning.
