A New Year: A New Flock of Curlews

Firstly, I need to start with an apology – I am very sorry that I have not been updating this page from the start of the year. This does not mean that we have not been busy though!

In Maths we have been familiarising ourselves with the methods of calculation, reinforcing our previous learning and extending our knowledge with new methods. As an example, Daisy has been using a range of these methods and setting her work out very carefully.

In our English work, we have been looking at the different features of descriptive writing, putting these together to write effective story openings adding detail and varied sentence openers and varied sentence structures. An example of this can be seen in Agatha’s opening:

We have also been looking at fossils and inheritance in our science work – I look forward to sharing some of these videos with you very shortly.
