Using Place Value

This week we have been exploring place value with numbers up to ten million.

We have used the mnemonic ‘Oscar The Horrible Threw The Heavy Mallet’ to remember the place value markings, then used the system of writing numbers in the correct columns to order a list of numbers in ascending (or descending) order.

Cassie worked particularly well with the setting out of her work.
