Spelling Bee

Yesterday saw the running of the 2019 Curlews Spelling Bee.  After having been given lists of words to learn to prepare for the event, pupils took part in a morning of competition.

There were four rounds in the competition in which pupils earnt points for their team and competed to get into the next round.

The Carpenter Bee group were the highest scoring team and nine pupils made their way into the Grand Final.

Congratulations to Isla B, Bryony and Noly who were the top 3 players in the class.

A good morning, proving that spelling can be fun.  You could say there was a real buzz in the class!
