Transition Science

As part of our secondary transition programme we were invited to spend a morning in the science labs at Newquay Tretherras school.  After having planned an investigation at school, we were able to use the lab and the secondary school equipment with the support of Mrs Ellis-Davis, the Science lead at Newquay Tretherras.

The investigation involved adding acid to a magnesium strip and measuring the amount of gas that was produced.  After a quick demonstration, it was time for the groups to collect their own results.
