Daily News

Yesterday was another fantastic day for submissions of work. Some of the writing that you are producing for The Highwayman is quite superb – I am really enjoying reading it.

Again, I was going to share an example, but it was impossible to narrow it down to one piece so here are four that I was particularly impressed with.

Again, hearty congratulations to all four of these.

And now, the results of the House Battle Times Table Rockstars:

Massive congratulations to Blue house. It gives me pleasure to announce that the top 3 scorers in the competition were:

1st: Zoe
2nd: Cameron
3rd: Charlotte

Coming soon we will be having another battle – watch this space for details!

Mr Simmons’ Joke of the Day

Maths

Our final session on decimals today looks at a one last way to express a fraction as a decimal.

Finally, try these questions:

And submit your answers to your Dojo Portfolio.

English

We continue with The Highwayman today. Watch the video as I talk you through Verses 3 & 4

As asked in the video, I would like you to produce a playscript of the conversation. You can do this on paper or on a computer and forward me what you have done on ClassDojo.

I look forward to seeing your scripts. If you wanted to, and there was a willing participant at home, you could even act out your playscript!

Reading

I would like you to read for at least 30 minutes each day. You can get more ideas and suggestions of reading material from the Reading@Home section above.

Geography

Last week you started to discover some information about the features of Brazil and where it can be found in the world. I wonder if you have seen that Brazil has recently been in the news because of a Brazilian variant of the Coronavirus.

If you did not do last week’s session, I suggest you go back and do that first before we move on today to look more at Brazil’s climate:

Genius Square Challenge
